OLD NOTES
Announcements:
Me:
Comic-con is going on this weekend in san diego. Wish I could have been there.
Library Summer Interim Hours:
These hours begin Saturday July 24th and end on Saturday August 1st.
Monday through Thursday hours are 8am to 5pm and Friday 8am to noon
We'll be closed both of those Saturdays.
Using the computers in the library:
Log on with your TU student ID; the same way as if you were logging in to check your TU email: firstname.lastname and then whatever your email password is. When you are done you need to make sure you log off the computer. If you leave it logged in, Joe Blow can come and do God knows what and you will be held accountable. Also, we have a new print management system. You get 30 free copies per day, after that you will need to pay .10c per copy to the person at the front desk. This is another reason why you need to log out. If you don't, some one else can use your free copies and if you come back in later that day you'll be stuck paying for copies you print.
Free books:
We have a ton of free books in the library that we are giving away. Who ever is at the front desk will point you in the right direction.

Bill Milford:
"The Division of Social Work would like to invite all TU students to explore the world of social services and the great selection of classes offered by the social work program. For the fall semester, these classes include Introduction to Social Work which is a wonderful way to understand the wide variety of services and jobs available in the social work field. The class in Cultural Diversity helps students to explore their understanding of cultural biases with race, gender, faith, sexual orientation, and even physical differences such body size, disabilities, and self-presentation. Other classes include how to work with individuals and groups in a professional social work setting; "Ethical Issues in the Human Services" which teaches students strategizes on how to walk an ethical professional path; "Child Welfare" which explores how to understand issues of child abuse and neglect; And "Understanding Behavioral Health" which helps students to explore the world of mental health diagnoses and their treatment strategies. For any questions, email Bill Milford at bmilford@thomasu.edu."
